10 Reasons to Stay at Embassy Suites Niagara Falls, Canada

If you are planning a trip to Niagara Falls, Canada I would definitely recommend staying at the Embassy Suites Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel in Ontario, Canada. Here are 10 reasons you should stay at this hotel.

1. Excellent location

You can walk out of the hotel and be at the top of the Horseshoe Falls within minutes. There is a short bridge and ramp from the back of the hotel to the top of the Incline Railway. My kids loved the railway! The fun, convenience, and accessibility are worth the small cost. It’s a very short ride down to the Table Rock Welcome Center where we picked up a few souvenirs. After walking through the welcome center, you come out the back and get a close up view at the top of Horseshoe Falls!

2. Great views of all 3 falls

We were able to see all three of the falls from our fallsview room. We were located directly across from the impressive Horseshoe Falls. A little further down we could also see the smaller American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls.

3. Rooms are clean and spacious

We booked a 2 bedroom suite for our family of 4. We had plenty of space and the rooms were very clean. The first bedroom had one queen bed, nightstands, a tv and a desk. A door separated a short hallway area that lead to the bathroom and other bedroom. This hall area had a small kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. The bathroom had a whirlpool tub, sink and a door separating the toilet and shower area. The second bedroom had 2 queen beds, nightstands, a dresser, a tv, and a small round table with 2 chairs. The back wall had an huge window with an amazing view of the falls!

4. Watch the nightly Illumination from your suite

Every night all three waterfalls are lit up with an array of changing colors. The Falls Illumination runs for hours and it is definitely something every visitor will enjoy. At night my husband and I positioned our suite’s table and chairs set facing out the large window at the back of our suite. We opened a bottle of wine and enjoyed the nightly light show while the kids laid (and jumped) on the beds next to us. We were all mesmerized by the flowing water and changing colors! Enjoying the view and the lights with my family was the highlight of our brief visit to Niagara Falls! From late spring to early fall there is also a short fireworks display every night at 10pm. We were there in March so we did not see the fireworks.

5. Breakfast is included

Buffet style breakfast options included eggs, pancakes, sausage, muffins, donuts, cereal, fruit and more. Made to order omelets were also available. I will admit the food was just ok, but it was nice being able to grab a quick bite to eat and get on with the rest of the day without having to think about it or pay anything extra. Breakfast is served on the 9th floor in the restaurant area overlooking the falls.

6. On-site restaurants and Starbucks

There are two restaurants conveniently located on-site. TGI Fridays is located on the lobby floor. The Keg Steakhouse is located on the 9th floor with floor to ceiling windows giving guests amazing views of the horseshoe falls. There are also several other dining options available nearby. There is a Starbucks located on the lobby floor. An on-site Starbucks is always a huge plus for any coffee lover!

7. Staff is friendly and helpful

The staff was readily available and happy to assist with valet services, handling luggage, opening doors and answering questions. At one point we found ourselves waiting longer than usual for the elevators and a staff member allowed us to use the service elevator so we wouldn’t have to wait any longer. At the free breakfast, there were staff members offering to fill drinks, bring utensils and clear plates.

8. Free parking with shuttle; valet parking available

While valet parking would have been easier and more convenient, I don’t like to pay for parking if I don’t have to. I thought it was great that they have free parking available as well. The downside is that it’s down the road a bit from the hotel, but they do have a complimentary shuttle that will take you back and forth between your car and the front door of the hotel.

9. Pool and fitness center available

We only stayed one night and didn’t use either, but these amenities are always nice to have available, especially for a longer stay. And kids always love swimming in hotel pools. It’s a great indoor option when weather is bad or if you’re just looking for a bit of down time at the hotel. The pool is located on the 9th floor and the fitness center is on the 10th.

10. Lock Bridge

I wish I had known about the lock bridge before our trip! I would have loved to have left a lock on the bridge with our names and date on it. It would have been a fun experience for the kids too. The bridge is located directly out the back of the Embassy Suites and connects the hotel to the top of the Incline Railway.
